Definition: Casting directors are like referees giving the Director the actor he wants and the producer the one he can afford.

My real love for actors and matching them with projects is what brought me to casting. As an agent I found myself recommending the “right” actor for the job even if they were not one of my clients. A situation that was both unfair to my actor clients and not profitable to my agency. As a casting director, I could be an “agent” of sorts for all the actors in the Texas area and so the saga begins.
